MISIA - 8th world

After a long hiatus from Japanese music, I am glad to have picked up from where i left off with MISIA's latest album - "8th world". Familiar rhythms and melodies bring to mind images of a breezy drive on a fair day with billowy clouds in the clear blue sky follow suit as exemplified in track # 13. For that much needed respite from the crazy hustle and bustle of city life , soothe your frazzled nerves with track #12 and begin on a journey to retrieve those lost dreams and hopes buried deep under years of mindless occupation.

Last but not least, track #6 is a good attempt at healing hearts worn out by blinded faith. One must give credit to the soulful voice of this incredible songbird whose voice spans over the great expanse of an evergreen forest, over the oceans and skies to touch the deepest strings of one's heart. ver since her soulful rendition of the song "EVERYTHING" in a popular jap dorama caught my ear, there has been no turning back from the music she brings coz very trip out of HMV would never be complete without a DVD/VCD/CD/Single from her. It is with utmost regret that moi missed her last concert in Taipei, I am determined not to miss the next one out of Japan so my eyes and ears are peeled to her website for now...
